Company History

IFSH is an IDX company based on Act No.41 dated June 9, 1971 made in front of Abdul Latif, Notary in Jakarta (Act of Incorporation) and has had its Company Officer Number No. 8120214190863 dated November 8, 2018 issued by the Online Single Filing Institute.

PT BSI (PT Bintang Smelter Indonesia) Act N0. 12 dated May 16, 2013 made before Notary Hamidah. S. Active in the nickel mining business namely processing and processed products or refining nickel ore. Likewise in 2013, based on Notarial Deed No.05.

1971
  • Established under name PT IFISHDECO with core business as anagriculture, fisheries, and cold storage business with the name PT IFISHDECO.
1992
  • Acquiring land in the Tinanggea District of South Konawe Regency and engaging in cashew plantation business, which ceased in the year 1999.
2004-2005
  • The plantation business activities have resumed.
2005-2008
  • The growth of cashew nuts is sub optimal due to the high acidity levels of the soil.
2008
  • Information reveals that the land contains mineral deposits.
2008-2010
  • An application for mining business permit was initiated through Mining Exploration Authorization No. 2249 in 2008, which was sub sequently upgraded two years later to Mining Business License for Production Operation (IUP OP) No. 1321 in 2010.
2011-2012
  • Production activities commenced at the end of 2010, with the first sales occurring at the end of 2011 totaling approximately 550,000 metric tons.
2013-2014
  • Acquiring an export quota of approximately 3.6 million metric tons, the company initiated the construction of a smelter through the establishment of its subsidiary, PT Bintang Smelter Indonesia (BSI), with a production capacity of 80,000 tons of Nickel Pig Iron (NPI).
2015-2018
  • In 2015, the Company exclusively focused on domestic sales due to government policies suspending the export of raw materials and mandating smelter construction to obtain export quotas. In 2017, the company regained an export quota of 992,000 metric tons.
2019
  • The Company obtained an export quota of 2,500,000 metric tons.
5 Dec 2019
  • PT Ifishdeco Tbk was officially listed as a public company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the stock code “IFSH”.
2022
  • Additionally, it acquired the nickel mine of PT. Patrindo Jaya Makmur and expanded its silica stone business through its subsidiary, PT. Silica Nusantara Mineral.
2023
  • The Company received an award from the Governor of Southeast Sulawesi for achieving the Blue PROPER (Environmental Management Rating Assessment Program).
